Hi everyone, I'm Mike Kuo Hong-Mao, currently working in the Business Planning Section at Victor Taichung as a Deputy Manager AKA Editor. My main responsibilities include managing social media platforms, video editing, graphic design, organizing tours, event planning, and marketing strategies.

Since joining Victor Taichung, my career development has greatly benefited, challenging my preconceptions about the traditional industry. Initially, I managed social media platforms, which deepened my understanding of digital media. During this process, I learned how to use text and visuals to attract and maintain audience attention and how to optimize content strategies through data analysis.

I'm Wu Chen-Wu, a procurement officer in the Materials Department. Since joining the Victor Taichung family (my second full-time job after military service), I've held various roles, starting as an inventory manager in the plastic injection molding machine warehouse. I then transitioned to outsourced control, working in different plants, including the Industrial Zone Plant, Zhonggang Plant, Lukang Plant, and Shanghai Jianrong. The job rotation mechanism helped me step out of my comfort zone, challenging new areas and learning new skills with humility. Currently, I work as a procurement officer at the Precision Technology Plant. As I approach my 25th anniversary at the company, I reflect on my growth in traditional manufacturing, constantly learning and improving. The journey has been boundless and filled with continuous learning. I am Lin Wei-Chieh, an inspection engineer from the Quality Assurance Department. I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my personal experience of working at Victor Taichung for 19 years. From being a student, serving in the military, getting married, and having children, I have gone through many significant life stages in this company, and these experiences have greatly helped me grow.

As a member of the millennial generation, I started my career in the field units, and I was pleased to participate in the company's production plans at various stages. Through my time on the field, I learned the importance of teamwork and also understood the value of technical skills during the production of machinery. Facing colleagues of different ages at work taught me the importance of communication.

After many years of experience in the field units, I transferred to the Quality Assurance Department to learn different technical skills. In QA, I was fortunate to participate in national project inspections and new machine development projects, gaining relevant experience in external precision measurements and quality inspections. I am grateful to Victor Taichung for providing ample development opportunities for employees, allowing those who wish to try different fields to transfer, thereby enhancing their skills and knowledge while maintaining enthusiasm for the workplace.

Hello everyone!
I'm Chen Chao-Hsu from the Lukang Sheet Metal Plant. During my university years, I joined Victor Taichung through an industry-academia cooperation, which was a great challenge for me as I had no experience in sheet metal fabrication. My only requirement for the job was to keep learning continuously because constant learning can enhance my skills, which I can then share with new colleagues or those eager to learn.

During my one and a half years at the company, I learned the pre-processing workflow and laser cutting machine operation. Each task was a challenge within a challenge, bringing me joy as I looked forward to learning new skills every day. The most memorable experience was learning to interact and think from different perspectives with colleagues from different countries. Teaching foreign colleagues to work independently was a valuable lesson, becoming the foundation for harmonious interactions with foreign colleagues in the future.

Apart from learning professional skills on-site, my colleagues in the design room provided me with a lot of experience. When I faced problems with drawing or layout, I could handle them fluently, no longer being a helpless newcomer.

In this one and a half years, I learned many skills and constantly challenged myself, striving to become independent. Hello everyone, I'm Chuo Chien-Ting. I'm happy to share my 13 years of work experience at the company. Over the years, I've had the fortune to work in the assembly, after-sales service, and machining departments, each offering unique challenges and growth opportunities.

Assembly Department
In the assembly department, I learned the importance of detail. Every assembly step must be precise because even a small error can lead to subsequent issues. For example, there was an instance where not tightening four screws during assembly resulted in unstable measurement accuracy. This experience taught me that every detail in assembly is crucial.

After-Sales Service Department
The after-sales service department presented real challenges. Visiting customers to resolve issues, I encountered various technical problems never faced internally. Initially, I felt immense pressure, needing to learn and adapt quickly. However, these challenges were also growth opportunities. Through continuous practice and learning, I gradually mastered problem-solving techniques and strategies. Successfully resolving a difficult issue and seeing customer satisfaction is an indescribable achievement.

Machining Department Maintenance
In the machining department, I focused on the maintenance and upkeep of horizontal machines. These complex machines require precise techniques and careful operation. Fortunately, the company produces these machines, allowing easy access to relevant personnel for consultation, helping me understand the machine structure better and solve problems more effectively.

From Industry-Academia Program to Manager: My Growth Path at the Foundry Plant

I currently work at the Houli Foundry Plant. My career journey began with an industry-academia program, laying a solid foundation for my relationship with the company. Initially, I was assigned to the molding team, a job requiring high spatial concepts. Working in a hot environment, often drenched in sweat, became a norm. However, the silent guidance and support from my mentors encouraged me not to give up easily, and this tough experience built my solid fundamentals.

The harsh environment at the foundry is well-known, lacking air conditioning, with some work areas unable to use fans. However, the company has a comprehensive system that actively supports employees in obtaining relevant certifications and continuously provides training, equipping us with the skills to face various challenges. As the internal age structure changed, many experienced mentors and supervisors retired, and I was promoted to manager shortly after military service. At that time, the supervisor encouraged me to take on the role bravely, offering reassurance during my first managerial responsibilities.

As a manager, I not only needed to master my professional work but also learn to lead and manage a team. Initially, I struggled between maintaining work standards and requiring team cooperation, filled with confusion. However, through the experience shared by predecessors and supervisors, I gradually understood the essence of "leading with the heart." Management is not just about technical guidance but emotional support and resonance. This experience made me realize that overcoming difficulties and continuous learning are key to career growth.

Hi everyone, I'm Tseng Chih-Hung from the Plastics Machinery Assembly Department. Since childhood, I often heard about the remarkable achievements of Victor Taichung from my elders. After military service, I joined the company, becoming part of this big family, hoping to showcase my talents on this stage.

When I first joined the company, I had no concept of plastic injection molding machines. Initially, I started learning from the assembly of large machines and sheet metal. Although it was tough without a foundational background, through my mentor's diligent teaching and my relentless efforts, I built a strong foundation. Later, I also learned electrical, wiring, and trial runs. Having worked in many different stations, I transferred through many units, including large machines, small machines, all-electric machines, and field units. I am very grateful to everyone who helped me along the way, especially my mentor, section chief, and manager. Thanks to their patient guidance, I continuously improved my skills, leading to my current achievements.

After being promoted to team leader, I realized the skill gap between a leader and team members. I began learning management knowledge and applying it to my work. My primary tasks included completing assignments from the section chief and assistant manager to their satisfaction, adhering to standards, and finding ways to further smooth operations and improve efficiency. These were the daily challenges I pondered, always seeking to enhance my management skills.

I carefully review all documentation and emails from different departments, leaving no detail unattended. To ensure machine quality, I repeatedly confirm machine schedules and shipping times, proactively understand team assembly or material issues, and strive to resolve problems promptly and efficiently, aiming for the best completion time, quality, and team assembly efficiency.

In the blink of an eye, I've been with the company for over 13 years. Despite the hardships, my abilities have steadily grown. I constantly strive to acquire new knowledge and skills, aiming to break through myself. I am Hsiao Shan-Yi, a plastics machinery engineer, and I am happy to share my 19-year experience at the company. While the journey may not be dramatic, it has been steady and progressive, aligning with the company's solid and reliable philosophy.

Although I had experience with suppliers and different companies, the rich assembly data and skilled mentors at the company allowed me to get up to speed quickly. The company also provides opportunities to participate in process and product improvements and arranges many on-the-job training and courses taught by external experts, giving everyone a chance to grow.

In terms of personal development, I progressed from a production technician to my current role as an R&D engineer. Each stage offered unique insights: as a production technician, I learned about the structure and functions of plastic machines; as a team leader, I understood the key points of management; as a bioengineering engineer, I learned product improvement and customization. In R&D, I learned how to design and plan the functions of plastic machines. In 2006, I joined the company and have now accumulated 19 years of diverse career experiences, gaining cross-departmental professional and management skills. Initially, I worked in the production technology department as an application engineer, responsible for mold testing, machine performance testing, and special function testing. This technical experience allowed me to deeply understand the core technology of products, laying a solid foundation for future cross-disciplinary development.

A few years later, I transferred to the hydraulic design department, deepening my understanding of hydraulic systems' design and operation, further expanding my knowledge of mechanical systems.

After several transfers, I entered the sales department, starting as a salesperson, a significant transition in my career. The sales role required using my technical background to communicate with customers, providing suitable solutions, and establishing long-term relationships.

In 2014, I voluntarily relocated to Chengdu, responsible for market development independently. Over four years, I successfully promoted company products into new markets and expanded brand influence. Hello everyone! I am Tsai Yu-I, an assistant manager in the Domestic Sales Department. I am honored to have this opportunity to share my five and a half years at this machinery company. Starting as a field worker and transitioning to a salesperson has been a journey of growth and transformation.

After a period of transition and training, the persistent ringing continued daily. I bravely answered my first call, where a very polite customer understood I was new. Although fluent in Taiwanese, the technical language and knowledge were challenging for someone like me, who grew up in a Taiwanese-speaking family. Fortunately, my colleagues were very patient, teaching me step by step to identify key terms and confirm the customer's main needs. After taking down the customer's name, machine number, and contact information, I listened to the problem points. Customers ranged from impatient to irritable to very polite and enthusiastic. These supportive customers felt like a calming pill, boosting my confidence. Over the years, with advancements in information technology, we no longer write down customer records by hand. Grateful for the company's greatest resources for after-sales service, including communication software like LINE, we can see videos or photos provided by customers, reducing misunderstandings. Educational Background and Interests Since vocational high school, I have studied in the mechanical department, having a strong interest in machining and manufacturing technology. After graduation, I discovered a job opening for an application technician at Victor Taichung, which was my ideal position.

Job Content and Challenges
When I first joined the company as an application technician, I faced various tough problems from customers. Usually, customers would give us the most challenging workpieces to evaluate, so I always had to stay sensitive to new machining technologies and adapt to process changes flexibly. For example, technologies like turn-mill complex machining, five-axis machining, and full-line automation require certain concepts and capabilities.

Work Environment and Learning Development
At the Value Creation Center, I enjoy an open and trusting management style, allowing me to learn and develop comprehensively. When lacking skills, I can quickly seek help from other units or participate in internal training courses. Thanks to the school-industry cooperation, I had the valuable opportunity to intern at Victor Taichung. Through this opportunity, I gained a lot of experience and skills that are invaluable to someone new to the workforce.

During my three years at Victor Taichung, I worked on assembling various types of machines, which was a significant challenge for me at that time. However, I learned wiring and troubleshooting skills on each machine, as well as the adjustments and regulations in the sheet metal process. Understanding the design differences of each sheet metal part, I learned and progressed together with my colleagues and friends. This continuous progress also established deep friendships, providing more learning avenues in my work. This made my job meaningful and balanced work and interpersonal relationships.

During these years in the Lathe Assembly Section, I grew from knowing nothing to being able to handle things independently. Looking back, it wasn't easy. My mentors were meticulous and patient in teaching me. I integrated the skills taught by my mentors into a method unique to me.
